OUR PROGRAM

In each classroom, we foster children’s participation in decision making, development of self-esteem, and the establishment of values. Developmentally-appropriate materials, toys, and activities make up the curriculum for all ages.  The children learn daily through music, movement, play, stories, rhymes, art, sensory activities, circle times, and other activities.  Field trips are an integral part of the curriculum and childcare program. The children take once a week outings.  Trips are planned to places such as the Elmwood Zoo, Children’s Museum, as well as neighborhood walks.

Typical Day Schedule

7:00-9:00  Arrival, eating, free play

7:30-8:45  Breakfast & clean-up

9:00-10:00  Special projects, dramatic & sensory play

10:30-11:00  Getting ready for lunch

11:00-12:00  Lunch & clean-up

12:00-2:30  Nap

2:30-3:30  Snack & clean-up

3:30-4:30  Activities

4:30-5:30  Clean up and prepare for departure

Classroom Size

Our infant room has a 1:4 staff to child ratio.
Our 1 year-old room has a 1:5 staff to child ratio.

Our 2 year-old room has a 1:6 staff to child ratio.

Our 3 year-old room has a 1:8 staff to child ratio.

Our Preschool room, ages 4 - 6 has a 1:10 staff to child ratio.
